It will take time to assemble the entry, but it's something you should do anyway to continue to win significant multi-jurisdiction work.   This year your firm stands a better chance of being recognized since the awards are new and competition will grow in 2014.

Legal services media has given us too little specific info on innovative work across more than one jurisdiction, for transactions and disputes.  Good for Aric Press to have recognized the gap.  We hear about cross-border deals and cases, but we need more examples of  how it all transpires across territories and businesses.

The entry rules say that “because global lawyering requires enormous efforts from many players,” entire legal teams will be awarded on all sides of the matter.  I like that Amlaw’s Global Legal Awards give law firms an opportunity to celebrate the power of partnering across borders, and share wins with their clients.  It’ll be interesting to see the award announcements in October.
