People often ask how we work with law firms internationally. Here’s a brief summary of recent projects: Europe – Business-development training and coaching Leigh Dance conducts two- to four-part business development workshops for associates and jr partners at international law firm offices in Europe. She draws from her deep understanding of European corporate clients and their needs to adapt the workshop to each local market. Dance coaches new lateral hire partners and helps them build an action plan and positioning to integrate faster into the firm and get early business development wins.
Brussels, Chicago, London, Milan, NY, Paris, Wash DC, Vienna – Client Events ELD International helps law firms to organize, host and ensure participation of high-potential client prospects in their own branded events (typically in Europe, Middle East, Africa and North America). ELD International assists with: a) concepts and execution to attract senior corporate counsel, b) identifying and recommending speakers and invitees (using our extensive network); and c) preparing lawyers to maximize their participation. Leigh Dance often co-moderates and facilitates these gatherings.
Global - Strategies & actions to enter or penetrate high-growth markets Far too many firms either miss or incorrectly act on nascent opportunities in high-growth markets worldwide. We have recently advised two law firms and a law firm network to: a) better target the highest potential growth markets internationally; b) identify opportunities tailored to specific firm practice strengths; c) prepare strategies and action plans to capture new work.
Europe, Africa, North America - Law firm partner and associate retreats Leigh Dance frequently organizes and leads sessions or presents at partner and associate retreats, for a number of premier international and national law firms, and networks including Lex Mundi, World Law Group, World Services Group. ELD International supports both global and regional events. Leigh is often asked to organize and moderate panels of firm clients and prominent corporate legal leaders.
Global - Client research/interviews for pitches, content strategy and feedback ELD International has completed significant primary research projects every year since 2009 with in-house counsel worldwide, through telephone, online and in-person interviews.
